"Adother Patch?!"

babies are so yummy. especially this baby! She is so sweet, sleeps good... enough, eats really well, poops a lot, and is just so stinkin cute. Why is it that babies prefer MY bed and pillow over their bassinet or crib? It just always seems to work out that way!
Time has already flown by, 6 week old sleeping beauty!
Last week was Natalie's birthday, and we got a little package in the mail from Cousin Taylor. aside from a sweet picture and frame, they sent along this awesome pink hair. Natalie LOVES it. She walks around touching it and letting it touch her arm/back and just has this little look on her face that she is the most beautiful girl in the world. She wants hair so bad. I told her the hair was to wear JUST at home and she was ticked. The funny part is that she thinks her hair is long normally, and she will put her hair back and shake her head from side to side and say "Mom! Look how long and pretty my hair is!" Anyway, thanks Tay, we love the hair!
We hit up a new pumpkin Patch yesterday that was awesome. Boots now asks "Adother Patch?!" everywhere we go. Even if we are going to the bathroom that is what he asks. But it was low key and not too busy, but so much fun for the kids. I am getting really excited about Halloween! I tried matching them up in black, I find matching us all helps when I lose a child! Av, Kat, and Liv came with us and we just played and played till they all pooped out.

Then Sister got her moment when we got home and Natalie couldn't stay away for a minute. Poor baby, my kids are so overpowering. I borrowed this basket from a friend thinking "this will be so cute to take some pics of the baby in." Again, not at all how I imagined, but cute enough.

rangers play again tonight, game 6. We HAVE GOT to take this one! So any time after 630, don't bother us because we will be intently watching a WIN!!

s'more

Is my blog really as depressing as I think it is? Do I even talk about possitives anymore? It is hard when you dont see many possitives in the day. Ive got sassy pants, and then crazy monkey boy, busy hubbsie, and finally sleepy sweet baby Q(the possitive part of this post). Other than trying to speak quietly around baby cakes, I feel like majority of my day is a not so quiet sort of holler(I dont want to call myself out on yelling) .

these 2 rugrats HAVE to be everywhere littles and I are.

this is called "everytime she eats" face. i can just hear a satisfied gurgle goin on!

at least they love eachother and dont hate!

But tell me its a boy thing, or a 2.5 year old thing, or anything but a boots thing. Tell me he will grow of it and not always give me this much stress in my life. HE IS CRAZY and I feel like he is finding more and more to get into and to make a mess of, or be sneaky about every day, every minute actually.
Im telling you, today it was a toothpaste suckdown rerun, empty and line up the hemmerhoid pads, and then the regular messy kid stuff. there is always something with him.Aside from getting frusterated with him all the time, there is something super silly he has been into lately. Justin Bieber. He loves him. He loves to hear him, see him, and dance along with him. He requests him and can sing along to almost all his songs. This obsession would be kinda sad and sick, except that Brian and I are equally as into him! Yes he is 16 and has crazily popular hair, but we love him. He is really talented! Laugh all you want, but he really is talented. So its true, I "heart" JB.

I hate always making my blog about my kids, and me, and me and my kids... kinda boring. But obvioulsy that is kinda my life.
Right now there is more going on though, We have the Rangers. This is bigger than me. This is bigger than you. This is huge! They have never made it into the post season EVER. They killed the first round and now they are in the second series against the Yankees. As I type, we are watching the game. If they win they will go to the World Series and THIS is going to happen, I feel it. This is going to be awesome. They are our team! It would really be radical if they went all the way and won it all. AHH! So Go Rangers!!

just breathe

Item #1.
There are about to be a ton of posts go up. I am so behind but feel like I have tons to share. We have been really busy and will be busy for another month or so. I am exhausted. I nap whenever I can. Courtney isn't the problem, nor are the other kids, just busy.
#2.
Last week was Thanksgiving, Canadian Thanksgiving, and we decided to celebrate this year with J & A. The fridge was packed with leftovers, we had great naps, and started up on the Charlie Brown Holiday specials.

#3.
The weekend before Thanksgiving, we headed to Houston to see our friends Jake and Kelly. Again, so fun. I mean what do we do that isn't fun?! Anyway, the girls all had fun together, and boots was as crazy as always. They have this radical Children's Museum that we could have spent ALL day at. Nat especially thought it was awesome.

These 2 are cute. They are also crazy. JUST today here is a list of things that boots did:
- put an entire pack of gum in his mouth
-found a softball bat and swung it around the house
-dumped out an entire bottle of water into Courtneys carseat
-sucked down almost an entire tube of toothpaste
- ate a "spicy" IBProfen
- surfed on the rickity patio table
- dumped out a whole container of a very slippery hair product of mine onto our bedroom floor, and then walked it around the house
THIS ALL ALMOST HAPPENED WITHIN A 5 MINUTE SPAN. Just so you get a glimpse into our home and life with him.
Nati is sweet/sassy all of the time. Sometimes she is sweet and helps me with everything with a smile on her face, where other times, she complains and blows HUGE hissyfits over nothing. Well, nothing important to me, just to a 4 year old. Thats right she had her BIRTHDAY this week and turned 4. She is so grown up. We had a fun little "party" at the softball fields with our friends John and Emma who came in from out of town for a softball tournement. Anyway, pictures of all of that to come.

the echos of my house

if you are in the neighborhood, these are the things you may hear coming from our house:

kids: whine whine whine...cry... whine ...tattle... and a little more whine.

me: stop it... timeout... be quiet the baby is sleeping...stop it... timeout... go to your room... go to bed... stop hitting... timeout

Hubby: I have an early meeting...see ya... love you... be home later...I need a nap

baby: zzzzzzzz...cry...zzzzzzzz...cry...zzzzzzzzzz...

seriously, things have been NUTS. The kids act up, dont sleep, dont listen, and have picked up some nasty habits/words from who knows who. Do I always say this? I promise we are all happy and love each other... just a little crazier than normal!

baby sister

So my number one photographer (the great Whitni) couldn't be here to take my newborn pictures like she did for my other two, and this makes me VERY VERY sad. I love her work and she always captures the best moments.
I gotta give it to you photographers out there. It is a super skill, capturing moments, and I just dont have it. Although I always wish I did, I dont.

But I love my camera, so I tried my hardest to take some cute photos of baby sister Courtney at one week old.

She was just too big from the start to do cute curled up on cute things pictures :( So instead she came out looking like this. Brian saw this and said, she looks like a college girl passed out on the rug. haha I kinda thought it was kinda cute.

nasty mess

Life with 3 under the age of 3 is a mess. My house is messy, my kids are messy, and worst of all is that I am messy. I am lucky to shower at all, let alone get dressed... if I can do it before noon, THAT is a good day.

To top it all off, we have been potty training boots now for 2 months. He is doing really well, but occasionally (a lot lately) he has accidents, fills the toilet with the whole role of toilet paper, gets the "mess" all over the bathroom and the seat and sometimes his room. He needs a full bath, or a wipe down of his whole body.

At night when the kids are "trying" to go to sleep (another post all on its own) we have to watch him on the monitor, because usually about 20-30 into falling asleep he takes his pants off and his undies and doesn't come out. So IF we notice that he is half naked we have to go in and take him to the bathroom. That is him saying that he needs to pee. I think he is just too scared to come out from all the threats he gets for getting out of bed. poor kid. But poor mom/dad when we find him half naked in the middle of the night wet in his bed. ok moving on...
Today I felt like all I dealt with was poop and puke. (baby puke of course, but still - yuck). I did get the bathroom cleaned, the floors vacuumed, and showered every day this weekend. YEAH for me.

A few pics from the last little while. We have been getting all set for Halloween around here. Making bat cutouts, which hats, etc. I love these kids.

Above, that is how Courtney ALWAYS is. Well 90% of the time. KNOCKED OUT.
This is just an idea of how potty time goes around here, I am never surprised what I am going to walk into... Nice which hat Nat.
And finally... I got bangs. I haven't had full bangs since I was in elementary school, grade 6 to be exact I think. I still can see my awful grade 6 pictures in my head. UG! But I like to think that my bangs have been upgraded and I can actually do my hair now!
I am growing my hair out, and cant cut it for another year as per a bet me and Libby made, but I needed a change... alas the bang. I love them though.
The girls. Please ignore newborn face who always looks out of it!
Also to go along with getting Halloween/fall ready is the smells right? I love these leafy, Cinnamon, yummy smells. You cant burn these candles any month of the year, but sep-dec you can burn away. So I love the way they smell. Unfortunately, my husband is probably the pickiest person I know about smells. He hates the smells of the fall. He always wants fruity burning up the house. The other day he walked in the house and said "Oh, did I just walk into Hobby Lobby?" haha funny bri, it smells good. Get over it. But seriously, who doesn't like fall smells? Strange Man.
So I am excited, Courtney is now 3 weeks old! At her 2 week appointment this last week, our goal was to get back to her birth weight... she passed it and was 9 lbs 8 oz. (birth was 9 4) Anyway, proud of that girl eating so well and growing so good! She also has been sleeping pretty good. the last 3 nights I have gotten one night of 8 straight hours, one night of two 4/5 hour stretches, and then a night of 2 4 hours stretches. Ah, I feel rested today! Way to go Court!
I also went for my first walk this week since baby and the sad part is, I got sore! This week I am starting up working out again and next week I am starting up my running again. I CANT WAIT! I have missed it so bad. Not that I CANT run while preg, I just dont. I dont workout at all. I wish I did, but I dont. So I am really looking forward to getting back into it this week. I think next week I will also start P90X again too. OH, Whats this whole thing about ZUMBA? Is it good? If you know about it/do it, fill me in on this. Should I do it? Is it worth it?
This weekend was a fun one though, we of course had another wonderful General Conference to watch and learn and be edified from, then we also had Brian's high school 10 year reunion. We went to dinner at Kobe steak, yum, then the Homecoming game for his old high school, although there were more activities, we only attended this. It was fun to meet a handfull of his old friends. The most exciting part though was going to a TEXAS high school football game. these are so much fun! I am excited that my kids are going to be able to grow up and have so many opportunities to participate in fun things and activities growing up!
Anyway, here goes another messy nasty week of poop and puke. Lets hope it gets a little easier than last week!
