Heating up!

Our House is KIND of coming along. The outside bricking has started, but the inside is still unchanged. We have added quite a few things over the last month or 2 though, so  it is taking time to make the changes on the inside. It is killing me to go by and nothing is changed. Anyway, we are still about 2 months away it is looking like... HURRY UP!
I am grateful for a place to stay right now, but I am so anxious to get into my own space. I broke down today to Brian and just cried and cried. I am just so emotional and grumpy and on edge and it is killing me. I just want to be in my own house where I can let it get messy and loud and let the laundry go if I dont want to do it. Again, I am so grateful for a great place to stay but I cant wait to move into our house!
I took the kids for Snow Cones today. Man, the way that they do that ice is just so good. I could eat just the straight ice and enjoy it just as much. I cant wait for next summer, for those who don't know, Brian is opening a snow cone shop and that means as many snow cones as I want! Really, it'll be great.  It has been 15 days of over 100 degree weather, so we have the same weather (104) all week until Sunday... If we want to break our record from last summer we have another 2 weeks or so to go after that! Ug, it kills me. I got the worst migraine today and It was from the mixture of allergies, heat, and Boots.

The little man is 4

I cant believe that my little menace, crazy, sweet, nuts, busy, adorable, little mini man is 4! He has been so excited for his birthday and insisted on an under the sea party. I am not really sure what he had in mind, but this was the best I could come up with!
Octo-dogs, Star-whiches, ocean water - his food of choice!!
We did a little backyard fishing and the kiddos loved it! It took a lot of concentration, especially for a little guy like Boots who lost it after a few minutes of not being able to catch a fish!
There was a little water balloon fight that followed, and lesson learned- You can never have enough water balloons on hand for these littles!
As we put the candles in and sang a little ditty to Booters, this was him concentrating on his wish before he blew out the candle. He was SERIOUS about his wish.
Daddy slept through the while thing. He has been a tired little lass!
He has loved The Avengers and superheroes lately, and he stocked up with his fun presents! I LOVE having a little boy. They are the sweetest and funnest! His face was priceless with each and every present, he was so excited for everything! He even got a duplicate but thought it was the coolest thing ever! Love him.
And the party ended with a showing of Finding Nemo with a whole bunch of treats. It was a lot of fun and the kids loved it all I think!
Happy Birthday my sweet Stephen. I sure love you!!
We took him into the Doctor for his 4 year check up and he is GREAT of everything. When the Dr asked him his name his reply "I dont know". I had to try to convince him he did know his name. He was really confused but finally got out "Stephen". When the Dr. asked his last name, he looked at me first then with a question lingering he said "boots?" haha I explained to the Dr about his nickname, and then finally he told the Dr. his actual last name! Goose.

He is the happiest kid I know, with a tender heart and tender feelings. He is always thinking of others before himself and is willing to give up anything for his sisters. He will protect his sisters to the end too! I hope he never loses that. He loves to play sports and run around. He loves to climb and jump and dig and throw and run.
His favorite foods right now are:
- milk
- cheese
- bacon

It takes several tries at getting him to calm down, and sit down all day and all night long. He is never ready for bed and always wants to keep going. But it is so hard to get mad at him because he is so sweet. He gives the best kisses and THE BEST big hug squeezes around your neck. He is always trying to squeeze out of his seatbelt in the backseat and I have to remind him several times to get it back on!
He has a raspy little voice that I could listen to all day. And the best is listening to him sing. His favorite song as of right now is brightly beams from the hymn book. It is so cute as he knows every word and will sing it in that little voice of his. He has the apostles all memorized and is a smart little guy in everything he does.

I couldn't have asked for a better son and a sweeter spirit to come into our home and be out little guy. He brightens my day every day and especially love to snuggle with him every single morning in bed. I cant wait to watch him continue to grow and be a vital part of our family. Love you Boots!

ketchin up

Lets go back, WAY back.
4TH of July. We FINALLY were able to spend the day with my sister and her family! We have been anticipating their move here down south and around noon on the 4th, they rolled into town!  So we made plans for slurpees and fireworks for their first official 4th of July in the United States as "US Citizens" well just legal I guess! We watched fireworks at a place were we saw about 20 different shows going on around the Lake. It was so fun and beautiful. Charlotte and Courtney were kinda scared of them when they got close though.
With all the time we have been spending at my sisters house trying to get things organized, it has made for some VERY late nights and my kids have been napping a ton in the middle of the day, very unlike them!
My sister is my best friend ever and I am so glad to have her here to play with, and be silly with, watch funny things with, and joke with, and just hang out with. I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE HERE LIBBY!! loves.
Mom was here for the week to help out as well. We took target and walmart trips daily it felt like! One outing to Target and we realized that these 2 crazies were dressed in the same outfit. Nice.
So then last week, we headed down to Houston for what I thought was going to be my last tooth appointment. Well I have to come back in May of 2013, but I will take that for sure!
We stayed at our friends Brent and Whitni's house and it was just gorgeous! It was so much fun to see them and play. Whitni and I became friends when I very first moved to Texas, she was one of the first people I met and we have maintained our friendship ever since. I love her and her 3 sweet boys!
We went to an alligator park and went on a hunt where we spotted 4 alligators moving along so slowly in the water. They really just looked like logs!
The kids were all darling though and we had a gerat fast trip. They were great hosts and we were very fed and played lots of games!
The kids have been keeping me laughing so hard all the time I cant even remember what they are saying to me. Why do I feel like the last week has been the craziest week of my life! I have been feeling like I haven't blogged in WEEKS, when really is has only been a week and a half! So back to blogging. I have a big post coming up from Boots' birthday party that we had on Friday on his birthday when he turned 4! WOW I cant believe he is 4!! Love that crazy kid.

Sigh...

I cant decide if I should be happy or sad. I cry tears of happiness and sadness.
We have been wanting to sell our house for a while. I hate it. It is small, the builder was cheap, the closets were not big enough for a normal size hanger, the wall lines were not straight, etc.

HOWEVER, it was our first house. We bought it and built it from the ground up. We had all 3 kids in that house. We built an AWESOME deck, and I painted a gorgeous wall mural. It has been broken in and loved over and over. I love that house.

So naturally, I am torn. I hate it, but I love it.

Well it is now officially not ours. We closed on our house yesterday forever!! Good bye wonderful horrible starter livable lovable home! I will miss you forever and never! I'm still a little confused.

Ocean Isle Beach 2012

SOOOOOO there are million pictures here but I wanted to make sure they all made my blog book so here they all are!
Again, we had a blast at the beach. The kids went crazy in the hotels we stopped in on our way there and back but the drives really weren't bad at all. They did awesome in the car for 20 hours. We learned that Courtney doesn't sleep from 2-5am in the car. She just wants to play, silly girl.

We made aprons, t-shirts, beached it, rented boats and jet ski's, walked the pier, got sick, got stitches, loss toe nails, had a marshmallow eating contest, made smore's, got really burned, got the hot tub sandy, made sand castles, collected sea shells, went to BRAVE, made bracelets, colored,  Brian got to sleep a lot, Courtney got to sleep a lot, painted toes and fingernails, we ate WAY too much yummy food, and just had the best trip ever! We love family vacations, especially at the beach.
And last, the only family picture we got of us all was on our way home at The University of Alabama in front of a cemetery, of course for boots!
